<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">Plawad Terminal is a type A bus terminal which still serves public transportation vehicle mobility in the area around Cipondoh Tangerang District. The potential for passenger mobility and environmental conditions are sufficient to support its existence as a regional transportation facility. Currently, the physical and functional condition of the terminal does not meet the passenger and vehicle service requirements, so a redesign program is needed. The redesign program takes the theme of green architecture as part of improving the quality of the terminal, users and the surrounding environment. The problems raised are: (1) How does the terminal design concept accommodate passenger needs and vehicle movement? (2) How is the green architecture theme applied in building design? The discussion refers to a qualitative analytical-descriptive approach which is based on a theoretical framework and applied to design. From the results of the discussion, a design direction can be formulated, namely: (1) The design is focused on arranging the optimization layout for ease of vehicle movement and passenger space facilities which refer to the principles of walk, transit and connected (2) The design concept refers to energy conservation efforts through shape and spatial layout. <dc:description xml:lang="en-US">This article aims to examine the approach to the design form of a hospital specifically for senior citizens with a Biophilic Architecture approach. Elderly hospitals are based on specific care service needs for senior citizens who require special treatment both psychologically and medically. The Biophilic Architecture design approach was chosen for design oriented towards creating a close relationship between humans as users and their natural environment. Discussion in the design preparation process is based on a descriptive qualitative approach with survey techniques and literature studies. From the results of the discussion, it can be stated that the process of medical treatment for treatment and recovery is the main activity realized in the treatment room, inpatient room and interaction room. The design concept leads to healing environment conditions in the form of a feeling of relaxation, human and comfortable relationships with open spaces in voids, openings, and the unity of supporting spaces in the form of parks integrated in buildings.</dc:description>

<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">In a big city like Jakarta, integration between residence and workplace is an important need for workers. The concept of 'Co-Living Space', which brings together living quarters with ease of accessibility, is emerging as an innovative solution in urban housing development. This concept not only provides accommodation but also creates a natural atmosphere that improves the quality of life in the city. This article discusses the design of an apartment based on the concept of 'Co-Living Space' in the Golden Triangle area of Setiabudi, focusing on the Biophilic architectural approach. Two main questions are presented: (1) How do I integrate the two functions? and (2) How is it implemented in the context of Biophilic architecture? The results of the discussion show that the design of 'sharing space' is effective for integrating living and working functions. In addition, the harmonious design with the surrounding environment and the adoption of Nusantara architecture confirm the application of the Biophilic concept in this research project.</dc:description>

<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">Sindang Barang Bogor Cultural Village is a tourist attraction that highlights local cultural values and environmental potential. From architectural studies, the existence of this tourist attraction makes sense of place a superior strength. This research is intended to test the sustainability of this potential from SWOT analysis as a strategy for increasing the value of tourist attractions and further development. The research method used is qualitative to explore the elements of sense of place that exist in the area by referring to the existing theoretical framework. From the research results it is known that the design of sense of place was carried out in three ways, namely, transforming the shape of the Sundanese village in building mass concept, creating a space experience by making it a place to stay or stay, including placement between open spaces, shared spaces and residential spaces as activity spaces or accommodating traditional activities, and creating social interactions with the surrounding environment through visits and presence. field space as a socio-cultural space.</dc:description>

<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">This research project focuses on the design of a Resort Hotel located on South Nusa Dua Beach, Bali. The main objective is to provide comfortable accommodation facilities for tourists, by making maximum use of the potential of the surrounding nature. In the design process, the theme Neo Vernacular Architecture was chosen. The choice of theme was based on the desire to highlight local Balinese architectural elements, which are oriented towards the utilization and preservation of the wealth of Bali's local environment. The main obstacle in this design is how to integrate the natural beauty of the beach with the needs of an effective and attractive tourist space for visitors. In addition, is the application of the Neo Vernacular theme which is packaged creatively in the architectural design of the hotel. In the discussion, it was found that the design solution lies in the arrangement of hotel rooms tailored to the specific functions of the resort, local characteristics, and the use of traditional Balinese layouts. Another discussion is that the shape of the roof of the building is designed following the example of local traditional housing to give an authentic touch.</dc:description>

<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">Contemporary technological developments have given birth to a smart city concept that is able to respond to urban problems through the use of information and communication technology. On the other hand, aspects of happiness indicators have become part of city performance, so studies have emerged that link happiness with the quality of life of city residents. In line with the sustainable city development paradigm, in recent years, the Jakarta Special Capital Region government has developed public transportation such as commuterline, Transjakarta, MRT and LRT which is supported by technology in payment systems and departure schedules to improve services for its users. However, it is not enough to provide satisfaction for users due to problems with ticket sensors, payment via vending machines and inappropriate arrival time management. The aim of this research is to analyze the effectiveness by comparing the plans that have been determined with the results in implementing two smart city pillars, namely smart living and smart mobility to create a Happy City in the city of Jakarta. This research uses a descriptive quantitative approach with observation and the use of questionnaires. From the results of the discussion, it was found that the majority of users stated that it had not been achieved or that development was still needed in terms of waiting time range, ease of technology, security and comfort. Meanwhile, city residents as users stated that they were quite happy, showing satisfaction with comfort and security.</dc:description>

The edge of the Buaran River has the potential for historical objects in the form of Batu Penggilingan sites, the history of the area and the potential for residents to develop their villages. This article raises a study of cultural values, preservation and development of Batu Penggilingan historical site on the banks of the Buaran River, Cakung, East Jakarta. This study examines its development as a Betawi cultural tourism village so that it can make the area an educational and interesting tourist attraction. This study used descriptive qualitative methods based on field empirical data exploring the factors that support the program. The result of the discussion was that the development of tourism villages requires in-depth identification of physical, architectural and environmental potentials in order to become a sustainable program by paying attention to and strengthening the unique Betawi cultural characteristics in the village planning and design process.</dc:description>

<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">Building safety is a form of building reliability against disasters, one of which is fire hazard. In Indonesia, there are still many buildings that do not apply this security. In this research, the case study taken is the Gebang Raya block A flat, Tangerang City. This research is aimed at identifying the completeness of evacuation facilities based on standardization and also knowing the equipment and placement of active fire protection equipment in Gebang Raya block A flats. The research method used is descriptive qualitative by conducting field observations, interviews, documentation and literature review to obtain information about fire evacuation facilities, standardization of fire evacuation facilities, and equipment and placement of active fire protection systems in the flats. From the results of the discussion, it can be stated that the Gebang Raya block A flats in terms of completeness are not in accordance with existing standards and regulations. In terms of standardization that Gebang Raya block A flats still have fire evacuation facilities, especially emergency stairs that do not meet the standards both based on theory and existing regulations. In terms of completeness, the active fire protection system in this flat does not meet. There is only a standpipe and slang pipe system and a light fire extinguisher.</dc:description>

<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">This research is intended to determine the effect of the facade on the thermal comfort of the Istiqlal Mosque. The urgency of this research is to find an efficient method of managing thermal comfort by taking into account the existence of building elements. The research method used is quantitative by collecting primary data and secondary data through thermal measurements. From the measurement results, it is known that the presence of a facade has a major influence on the formation of thermal comfort in a mosque building. This is because the open facade system allows for smooth air circulation, thus creating cool air. Apart from that, there is an environment and spatial arrangement in the mosque that supports the circulation system, namely the existence of an open space in the middle of the building as an air circulation valve that supports the environmental ventilation system.</dc:description>

<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">Malioboro area of Yogyakarta is one of the popular recreational place in the form of a pedestrian street in Indonesia. The popularity of Malioboro itself cannot be separated from the status of the city of Yogyakarta itself as a tourist, cultural and educational city. From a psychological aspect, residents' perceptions place Malioboro as an attractive area to visit for various tourist activities. Knowledge about attractions and decisions is interesting to know in developing tourist areas in Indonesia, especially from a behavioral architecture perspective. This research aims to determine the psychological factors in tourists' decisions to visit again. The assumption is that there is an influence on the positive experiences of tourists during their visit. This research question is how psychological aspects influence visitors' perceptions of returning visits. The research method used is descriptive qualitative by observing existing visitor activities related to their positive experiences. There are 3 groups of observations, namely: spatial cognition phenomena, spatial behavior and spatial order. The results of this research show that spatial cognition is the most influential factor in making this area's place attractive to visit.</dc:description>

<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">The Great Mosque of Cianjur, established since 1810 AD, stands as a significant cultural heritage, playing a crucial role in the history and life of the Cianjur community. As a center for religious activities, the spatial characteristics within the mosque become the focus of this research. Through a qualitative descriptive research methodology and direct observation, the study identifies spatial typologies, including the porch, ablution area, prayer hall, mihrab, and pulpit, describing their unique characteristics. In the spatial hierarchy, distinctions in the level of sanctity are evident, where the ablution area/toilet serves as the initial point with a lower level of sanctity, the porch functions as a transitional and social area, the prayer hall serves as the central place of worship, while the mihrab and pulpit exhibit the highest level of sanctity. These findings provide a profound understanding of the structure and function of each space within the context of the grand mosque's architecture. The research does not only depict the physical spaces but also comprehends the significance and functions, both spiritual and practical. The results make a valuable contribution to developing an architectural perspective of the mosque as a place of worship and a center for social activities, with the hope of serving as a foundation for further developments in religious architecture. In conclusion, the Great Mosque of Cianjur exhibits diverse spatial typologies and hierarchies, reflecting historical and cultural heritage while meeting contemporary needs.</dc:description>

Costs are derived from the components of material prices, implementation time and labor wages. The choice of materials or construction methods must consider these technical aspects so that efficiency is obtained. This research aims to analyze the choice of using lightweight bricks and bricks in building construction from cost and time considerations. The research results show that the use of bricks is more efficient than the use of lightweight bricks even though the work requires less time. The explanation is that lightweight brick material is a product that must be imported from outside the island, making it a high price.</dc:description>

The survey results show that a redesign is needed to improve the quality of housing according to vertical residential space standards and efficiency through design that takes into account climate and the environment. This working paper is the result of the redesign process of tambora flats with a bioclimatic approach. The method used in this discussion is to conduct research on environmental needs and contexts, bioclimatic analysis from the site, space program and form approach. The results of the discussion are that the bioclimatic approach provides direction for the design of the placement of building mass blocks, facades, and processing of the site surface according to contextual needs.</dc:description>

<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">The design of the type a rest area on the bogor-cianjur-sukabumi toll road aims to provide rest and recreation facilities for toll road users as well as space for business people to develop their businesses. It is hoped that the existence of a transportation node, apart from accommodating its main function, can become a space to introduce the potential of the local area. The design refers to the neo-vernacular architectural approach, which is a conceptual approach in architectural design that places the local values of the local community combined with a technological approach to accommodate new functions. The discussion method is divided into several stages, including research on space requirements and environmental potential. The results of the discussion resulted in the idea that the neo vernacular concept was applied to building mass layout, choosing roof shapes and sundanese architectural forms.</dc:description>

<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">Architecture is born from a creative and innovative design that responds to functional needs and architectural values that want to be communicated to its users. Islamic architecture as a cultural work of Muslims is based on the values of Islamic teachings and culture. Through understanding and interpreting architectural works, the values of Islamic teachings and culture can be recognized. This research takes as its object the At-Thohir Mosque which is located on Jalan Mochamad Thohir RT 01 RW 12, Tapos - Depok West Java 16457, opposite the At Thohir plaza. This mosque was built in 2018 and inaugurated on March 9 2022 by President Joko Widodo. This research discusses the application of Islamic architectural themes and their meaning. The use of Islamic architecture as an element or support for a building has a meaning that represents the function and values of the architecture. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods and data collection techniques based on observation, interviews and literature study. The research results show that the application of architectural concepts can be found in the use of domes, towers, Middle Eastern architectural styles, elements, ornaments and the meanings of mosques as places of worship and houses of God.</dc:description>

This study aims to understand the spatial requirements based on the characteristics of students with special needs through the behavioral approach in architecture. The research employs a qualitative method with source triangulation techniques to analyze data, revealing that spatial needs in special schools differ significantly from those in regular schools. Necessary adjustments include the selection of furniture, visual learning media, and specialized learning spaces such as self-development and communication rooms to support students' growth. By aligning with educational regulations, special schools can create an optimal learning environment, enabling students to access learning materials more effectively and develop their full potential.</dc:description>

<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">This study aims to examine the phenomenon of the production and reproduction of public spaces, specifically streets, in Gang Ampiun, Jakarta. Referring to Henri Lefebvre's theory of space production as a result of social processes, various social factors play a significant role in shaping these spaces. From an architectural perspective, the dynamics of this process are intriguing for understanding the true formation of space. In architectural studies, students and architects often rely on standards and references, whereas actual users create and modify spaces according to their own needs. This research employs a qualitative rationalistic approach based on Lefebvre’s concept of space production. The findings reveal that the social and environmental processes in Gang Ampiun contribute to the formation of informal spaces that fulfill community needs. These informal spaces play a crucial role in maintaining the area's social life. The community, as users, reproduces these spaces through power dynamics and mutual agreements among them.</dc:description>

The two containers have different characters but have similarities as spaces for community visits. Through the Neo Vernacular architectural approach, the building and environmental design is expected to accommodate local architectural values adapted to contemporary technology. The research was carried out by taking a contextual approach to the environment and studying local architecture. From the discussion, the principle of hierarchical division of spatial planning, building roofs and integration of administrative space with creative space can be stated in accordance with Sundanese architectural cosmology.</dc:description>

In accordance with government regulations regarding accessibility requirements, including for disabled worshipers, the building's supporting facilities must support these conditions. This research aims to find out how much facilities exist that support this accessibility in order to provide constructive input that is beneficial for the mosque's prosperity program. The method used is observation and analysis of existing data, then interpretation is carried out using the criteria for accessibility requirements. Research findings show that this mosque can be categorized as a mosque that is aware of its congregation with disabilities by providing facilities to support this accessibility. However, regarding the level of usability, it still needs to be improved in relation to the requirements so that it has an optimal level of effectiveness.</dc:description>

<dc:description xml:lang="en-US">Panti Sosial Tresna Werdha provides a solution for elderly individuals whose families face financial and non-financial constraints, leaving them without adequate care. As a residential facility for older adults, a nursing home must meet proper housing standards to support daily activities and reduce the risk of accidents, such as falls and slips, often resulting from design flaws or inadequate facilities. This study examines the elderly-friendly facilities implemented in the Sasana Tresna Werdha building and explores how older residents perceive comfort in their living environment. The research employs a qualitative descriptive method, with data analyzed qualitatively. The findings reveal that the facility incorporates various features to enhance comfort and accessibility for elderly residents. These include a centrally located ramp connecting the second and third floors, handrails along staircases and corridors, and strategically positioned staircases on the right, left, and center of the building, all specifically designed to facilitate mobility and improve the well-being of older residents.</dc:description>
